Here are some of my favorite images from Kelly and Rob's wedding at St. Joseph's Church in New York City and reception at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY. Most weddings are a bit of an adventure and this was no exception, especially when the couple's beloved dog executed a clever plan to secure an unplanned mid-day visit from the bride and groom, apparently to see them all dressed up.

Scott is a great friend of mine from college and I have gotten to know Evelyn pretty well as they have been together quite some time and I even had the privilege of photographing her sister's Elianne's wedding in 2011. It was an honor to be a part of such a great day and to share these images with you now.

Here is a slideshow of images from Christine and David's Wedding at the Fox Hollow Inn in Woodbury, NY. Christine and David are a wonderful couple who share a love of animals and became a special couple for me when they asked if they could bring their dogs Storm and Shea on their engagement shoot (I said yes of course). They had a beautiful candlelit ceremony and fun reception and I had a great time photographing my final wedding of 2012!

Here are a few of my favorite images from Colette and Brenton's Wedding at St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral in Manhattan, NY and reception at the Crest Hollow Country Club on Long Island. It was a lot of fun getting to know this couple and seeing them together on their wedding day! There were a lot of special moments throughout the day and it was an honor to be able to capture a few of them.

Here are some of my favorite images for Kristen and Derek's Wedding at Remi in New York City. We also got to take some photos in DUMBO in Brooklyn, NY prior to the ceremony. It was a bit of adventure with a little rain (just enough be lucky I like to think) and a little extra traffic on the way back but everything went smoothly and it was a great day for the couple and all their guests.

Here are some of my favorite images from Kathryn and Nelson's Wedding at St. Barnabas Church in Bellmore, NY and reception at Westbury Manor in Westbury, NY. This was a very fun wedding with a brief moment of tension during the reception when one of the female guests got into an intense dance off with one of the ring bearers.

Here are some of my favorite images from Kelly and Spencer's Wedding at the Lee Fendall House in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. It is always nice to visit the Northern Virginia/DC area where I used to live and I really liked the Southern style of this wedding, which was evident in the details, the signature drinks, and supported by a strong contingent of southerners.

Here are a few of my favorite images from Michelle and Andrew's Wedding at the Midtown Loft and Terrace in Manhattan. This wedding had a rooftop ceremony with fantastic views of the city, two very animated ring bearers, and a couple of astrophysicists who answered a few of my black hole questions but left me with many more. And that is just a couple notable elements from the day!

Here are some of my favorite images from Katie and Ben's wedding at the Mountain Lakes House in Princeton, NJ. This was really great location for a wedding and I wish I had arrived a couple hours early just so I could have taken pictures of all the turtles, birds and other wildlife on the grounds. I also got some great help from the guests at this wedding with an event planner friend of the bride gathering everyone for all the formals and the flower girl who appointed herself to be my assistant for a portion of the reception! Now on to the pictures!

Here are a few images from Toni and Gregg's wedding at Willow Creek in Mount Sinai, NY. I'm running out of things to say about my weddings as they are all great and fun affairs so for this one I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Photo of the Week 10/8/12

This past week I got a call from a woman who wanted to get some pictures of her parents. They got married in St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Borough Park, Brooklyn on May 26, 1946 shortly after her father returned from serving in World War II. That is 66 years of marriage and they have been sweethearts for 71 years. They were clearly still very much in love and it was fun to watch their interactions. It wasn't easy picking just one picture from the session but I thought this one captured the two of them well.

Here are a few of my favorite images from Alyssa and Ian's Wedding at the Timber Point Country Club in Great River, NY. This was a daytime wedding and that usually means that the reception has less dancing than for an evening wedding but that was not the case with this crowd. Many of the guests also went out of their way to tell me about what nice people the bride and groom were. I pretty much think all my couples are fantastic as I did with Ian and Alyssa but they may be even a little more special than most.

Here are a few images from Lillian and Jason's Wedding at the Bear Mountain Inn's Overlook Lodge in Bear Mountain, NY. Lillian and Jason were one of the first couples I have worked with since moving to Brooklyn that could quite easily walk over to see me. At first, I felt this would add some pressure to do a great job on their pictures but after getting to know them I am glad they are nearby so I can see them again from time to time. We also discovered that one of Lillian's bridesmaids is my cousin about a week before the wedding. She is the one reading 50 Shades of Grey in the slideshow.
