Giandomenico-Leon Wedding Slideshow

Here are some images from Maria and Carlos' Wedding at the Shrine Church of St. Anthony of Padua and reception at Battery Gardens in New York City. This was a fun wedding to be a part of and it was a pleasure getting to know Maria and Carlos and their friends and family.

Photo of the Week 7/7/14

Again, I have gotten busy and lapsed on posting a photo of the week for some time and I hope this image makes up for that. I caught this image of lightning striking the Freedom Tower in Manhattan from the roof of my building in Brooklyn on the evening of July 6, 2014. This was taken with my Nikkor 14-24mm lens at a focal length of 14mm with a 2 second exposure at an aperture of f/3.5 and ISO 100.

Forman-Ryder Wedding Slideshow

Once again, I had the chance to photograph a "Forman" wedding only for the first time it wasn't a relative. Lia and Patrick we a lot of fun to work with and their venue, Le Bernardin Restuarant, was a great one for this intimate wedding and dinner. Here's a slideshow of a few of my favorites from their wedding day.

Sarah and Joel's Wedding Slideshow

My final wedding of 2013 was Joel and Sarah's at the Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City. When I first met Joel and Sarah, they both impressed me. Joel with his in-depth knowledge of each obscure topic we got to talking about and Sarah with her patience as she watched us get sidetracked over and over. I also saw that these two really cared for each other and that was evident at the wedding. I like to believe that my pictures caught just a little of the way these two feel about each other.

Johnson-Bernoff Wedding Slideshow

Here is a slideshow of images from Kamille and Stuart's wedding and reception at Manhattan Penthouse in New York City. This day started out very quietly with just the bride, a hair stylist and the couple's dog. The energy level picked up when when all the bridesmaids and others from the bride's family arrived including a well dressed complement of kids arrived. From that point on, it was a festive celebration of the couple and their special day.

Steen-Sirotkin Wedding Slideshow

I had the pleasure of photographing Valentina and Jake's wedding at The Chelsea Piers Sunset Terrace in New York City and have put together this slideshow of some of my favorite images from their day. I say this all the time but I really do get to work with wonderful people and this was again the case. I will go a little farther this time and say that Valentina was one of the most thoughtful and kind people I have ever met! And now the pictures!

Rooney-Maletta Wedding Slideshow

Here are some of my favorite images from Kelly and Rob's wedding at St. Joseph's Church in New York City and reception at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY. Most weddings are a bit of an adventure and this was no exception, especially when the couple's beloved dog executed a clever plan to secure an unplanned mid-day visit from the bride and groom, apparently to see them all dressed up.

Vesely-Saletnik Wedding Slideshow

Here are a few of my favorite images from Jaron & Josh's Wedding on January 27th at reBar in Brooklyn, NY. This was a great wedding to start the 2013 season with and a really creative and original ceremony.

Seter-Elliott Wedding Slideshow

Here are a few of my favorite images from Colette and Brenton's Wedding at St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral in Manhattan, NY and reception at the Crest Hollow Country Club on Long Island. It was a lot of fun getting to know this couple and seeing them together on their wedding day! There were a lot of special moments throughout the day and it was an honor to be able to capture a few of them.

Senese-Barbanti Wedding Slideshow

Here are some of my favorite images for Kristen and Derek's Wedding at Remi in New York City. We also got to take some photos in DUMBO in Brooklyn, NY prior to the ceremony. It was a bit of adventure with a little rain (just enough be lucky I like to think) and a little extra traffic on the way back but everything went smoothly and it was a great day for the couple and all their guests.

Photo of the Week 05/21/12

The other day I had a rare opportunity to just take pictures with no assignment. This was one of the pictures I took of the Brooklyn Bridge. I made this image using my Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II lens at a focal length of 130mm, an aperture of f/4.0, and 1/640th of a second at ISO 100.

Abram-Smith Wedding Slideshow

I recently got to photograph the wedding of my cousin Antonia at the Prospect Park Boathouse. It was a fun day and really nice venue for a wedding. Here is a slideshow of some of the images from the day.

Photo of the Week 6/13/11

I did an engagement session this past weekend for a very nice couple from New York City. We went to one of my favorite New York City locations, the High Line Park. This park is built on what was a freight railway and winds its way between the buildings on the West Side of New York City. This photo was taken at one section of the park where the railway runs under one of the buildings. I made this image with my Nikkor 135mm f/2.0 DC lens at an aperture of f/2.8, exposure of 1/400th of a second, and ISO 125.

Batchelor-Davis Day-After Shoot Preview Slideshow

I did a day-after wedding shoot for Lindsey & Bobby, a wonderful couple that came out from Wisconsin to get married on Long Island. We did the day-after shoot so they could get some pictures in the city as well. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from my session.

Photo of the Week 4/18/11

This past Wednesday, yes on a Wednesday, I photographed the wedding of Bobby and Lindsey on the south shore of Long Island. The day after the bride and groom got dressed up again and we took some photos in New York City. As the couple, lives in Wisconsin, I had the idea for this unusual picture and being good sports, and all-around great people, they indulged me. I do not often use selective color but for this image it seemed appropriate. I made this image using my Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 lens at an aperture of f/2.8 and exposure of 1/200th of a second at ISO 400.

Photo of the Week 12/6/10

A while back, I photographed the wedding of Tara and Russ. The reception was at Liberty House in New Jersey so we took some formals on the water in front of the New York City Skyline. Our timing really worked out well as we caught the last of the day's light as the lights from the city started to appear. I made this image using my Nikor 50mm f/1.4 lens at an aperture of f/2.0 and exposure of 1/100 of a second at ISO 800.

Photo of the Week 11/8/10

A few days ago on the way out of the city, I stopped to take a few quick pictures of the Verrazano Bridge at sunset. This image was made using my Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8 lens at a focal length of 22mm, an aperture of f/8.0, exposure of 1/30th of a second, and ISO 100.
