Photo of the Week 7/7/14

Again, I have gotten busy and lapsed on posting a photo of the week for some time and I hope this image makes up for that. I caught this image of lightning striking the Freedom Tower in Manhattan from the roof of my building in Brooklyn on the evening of July 6, 2014. This was taken with my Nikkor 14-24mm lens at a focal length of 14mm with a 2 second exposure at an aperture of f/3.5 and ISO 100.

Tiffany and Tristan's Wedding Slideshow

Here is a slideshow of some of my favorite images from Tiffany and Tristan's destination wedding at the Rockhouse Hotel in Negril, Jamaica. This was a great wedding and a lot of fun. It was also the first one I have been to where the couple, the whole bridal party, and both the bride's parents ended up in the pool at the end of the night!

Once again, I had the chance to photograph a "Forman" wedding only for the first time it wasn't a relative. Lia and Patrick we a lot of fun to work with and their venue, Le Bernardin Restuarant, was a great one for this intimate wedding and dinner. Here is a slideshow of images from Koma and Lewis' Wedding. I met Koma a number of years ago at business school and had an instant bond with her when I learned that she played rugby. So, it came as no surprise when I learned that she was engaged to someone she met through the same game. It was a honor to photograph Koma and Lewis' Wedding and a lot of fun as well!

Here are some images from Michelle and Jesse's Wedding at the Manhattan Penthouse in New York City. This was an especially fun wedding for me as there were a few guests at this one who were also present at the wedding I shot in New Orleans last year and it is always nice to see people a second time. It was a beautiful night with a great couple and as always a lot of fun to photograph!

Sarah and Joel's Wedding Slideshow

My final wedding of 2013 was Joel and Sarah's at the Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City. When I first met Joel and Sarah, they both impressed me. Joel with his in-depth knowledge of each obscure topic we got to talking about and Sarah with her patience as she watched us get sidetracked over and over. I also saw that these two really cared for each other and that was evident at the wedding. I like to believe that my pictures caught just a little of the way these two feel about each other.
